Preparation, Repairs, and Waterproofing of Exterior Walls at City Hall

The City of Lakeland Public Works – Facilities Maintenance Division is requesting proposals for services of qualified and experienced state certified General Contractors registered and licensed in the State of Florida, to perform all work outlined in the attached project technical specifications for the preparation, repairs, and waterproofing of exterior walls at City Hall. The scope of work includes cleaning, expansion joint replacement, blister and peeling paint repair, crack repair, penetration and attachment sealing, and application of a warranted waterproof coating system. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, temporary protection, tools, and materials necessary to complete the work. • The project involves a 3-story fully occupied and operational office building with a painted stucco exterior finish, areas of uncoated aggregate panels and stone, and a decorative penthouse. • The contractor must have experience with public-sector waterproofing projects involving occupied/operational historical facilities. • The contractor must provide a preliminary phasing and schedule plan, a site logistics plan, and comply with all applicable safety requirements and regulations. • The City of Lakeland encourages the use of minority and women-owned businesses as subcontractors or in joint venture arrangements.
