Emergency Water Main Work

The City of New York’s Department of Design and Construction is creating a pre‑qualified list of contractors capable of performing emergency reconstruction, replacement, and ancillary restoration of broken water mains across the city’s water distribution system. Contractors selected will be required to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for rapid response and repair on an emergency basis, ensuring continuity of water service city‑wide. • Establishes a city‑wide pre‑qualified contractor pool for emergency water‑main work. • Scope includes full reconstruction, replacement, and related ancillary restoration of municipal water mains. • Contractors must be able to mobilize quickly and supply labor, materials, and equipment for emergency response. • Qualification submission due 12/31/2040; selection will be based on ability to meet emergency response requirements.
