B026-33 Hubbard Park Pool Filtration System

The City of Meriden is seeking bids for the refurbishment of the pool filtration system at Hubbard Park. The scope of work includes pressure testing, removing the existing filter system, and installing new main drain sumps, piping, pumps, and filters. The successful bidder will be required to provide a certificate of insurance and to comply with the City's Code of Ethics and affirmative action policies. Key requirements include: • Pressure testing and reporting results to the Parks Department staff • Cutting out and removing the existing filter system and piping • Furnishing and installing new main drain sumps and piping • Furnishing and installing new pumps and strainers • Furnishing and installing new high-pressure sand horizontal filters • Connecting new perimeter piping to existing piping • Reconnecting the sanitation system to both new and existing piping • Labeling piping and repairing or replacing any deck or pool structural removals necessary to complete the installation • Obtaining a State of CT DPH permit for new code-compliant structural fittings and filter system • Instructing Parks Department staff on system operation after installation
