Description
The City of Montpelier is seeking bids for the removal and replacement of the existing wingwalls/headwall located near #68 Northfield Street. The project involves removing the existing concrete wingwalls and pouring a new cast-in-place wingwall/headwall in the same dimensions that previously existed. The wingwall shall be tied with rebar spaced 1’ O.C. The contractor may elect to retain an existing footing if it is present or pour new.
* Please note proximity to a power pole. Coordination with the utility company may be necessary.
The dimension of the wing walls are approximately 44” x 43” with a width at the top of 8” and an estimated width at the bottom of 20”. The existing concrete pipe diameter is approximately 32”.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Mobilization/Demobilization/Miscellaneous: This item will be paid per lump sum and will include mobilization/demobilization and other incidentals.
• Concrete Wingwall: This item will be paid per lump sum and will include site preparation, forming, doweling, tying rebar, pouring, and finishing concrete and all other items for the successful completion of the project.
