Navajo Area Indian Health Service referral laboratory (cytology & histo-pathology) testing services

The Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS) is seeking information from potential contractors to provide referral laboratory cytology, histology, and pathology testing services. The services will be provided to various NAIHS facilities, including hospitals and health centers. The contractor will be responsible for specimen collection, testing, and reporting. The contract will have a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. • The contractor must have at least 3 years of experience providing laboratory pathology/cytology/histology testing services. • The contractor's testing facilities must be certified and maintain certification as a medical laboratory in accordance with CMS/CLIA '88 guidelines. • The contractor must ensure that testing and supervisory personnel meet and maintain applicable personnel qualifications. • The contractor will provide a point of contact responsible for the performance of the services. • The contractor will provide routine and specialized laboratory testing services, including cytology, histology, and pathology testing. • The contractor will provide a Laboratory Data Manager (LDM) at each NAIHS facility. • The contractor will provide reports, including final and "chartable" patient reports, workload reports, and provider usage reports.
