Description
The State Highway Administration is soliciting bids for the replacement of the roofing on the MDOT/SHA Princess Anne salt dome. The contractor will be responsible for removing and disposing of the existing asphalt shingles, underlayment, and edge flashings, and installing new underlayment and architectural asphalt shingles. The project requires a 75-day base period with no option periods. The contractor must meet minimum qualifications, including having three years of experience in asphalt shingle roofing repairs and replacement, and being certified by the manufacturer of the shingles installed.
• Minimum qualifications: 3 years of experience in asphalt shingle roofing repairs and replacement, own employee labor, equipment, and vehicles, SDAT registration, and manufacturer certification.
• Scope of work: removal and disposal of existing shingles, underlayment, and edge flashings, installation of new underlayment and architectural asphalt shingles.
• Contract duration: 75 days.
• Contract type: Firm fixed price.
