Description

The San Mateo County Human Services Agency’s Center on Homelessness (COH) is seeking organizations interested in supporting a potential Targeted Homelessness Prevention program in San Mateo County. The program aims to identify and assist households at highest risk of imminent homelessness. The RFI describes several potential roles that organizations could play in implementing the program, including Project Lead, Lead Fiscal Agent, Service Partner, and Outreach Partner. The program will operate countywide and focus on households most likely to enter homelessness without intervention. • The program will prioritize the rapid deployment of financial assistance and supportive services. • The program will be structured as a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) and evaluated by the Notre Dame Lab for Economic Opportunity (LEO). • The program will serve a diverse population, including families with children, seniors on fixed incomes, youth and young adults, survivors of domestic violence, people with disabilities, and individuals with behavioral health needs. • The program will be designed to complement and strengthen existing prevention efforts in San Mateo County. • The program will be funded through a planning grant and potentially future procurement efforts.
