6550--Blood Type IVD Reagents

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide blood type IVD reagents for the VISN 22 medical centers. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, with 4 one-year option periods. The contractor will be required to provide reagents and consumables for manual testing, including cells for ABO back-typing, complement check cells, and IgG check cells. The contractor must also provide anti-sera and other specialized reagents. The contract will be an indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, and the contractor will be required to provide supplies on an as-needed basis. • The contractor must provide FDA-approved, AABB-accredited, and CAP-accredited reagents and consumables. • The contractor must have a manufacturer of record that maintains a stock of replacement consumables and provides published scientific literature. • The contractor must incorporate shipping fees and other associated costs into the price of each item. • The contractor must provide supplies to all VISN 22 Blood Banks on a bi-monthly basis. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
