The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to renew the brand name Spacelabs Healthcare, LLC (Spacelabs) Intesys Clinical Suite (ICS) software maintenance for the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center's Telemetry system. The proposed action is to provide continued technical and remote support for the Spacelabs ICS software currently installed. The contract will have a base period of 12 months with four 12-month option periods. The VA has determined that only Spacelabs can provide the required software maintenance support due to the proprietary technology and code used in the current system.
• The contract is for software maintenance only, with no new hardware or software to be procured.
• The contractor will provide maintenance for all 353 software licenses currently installed on VA's hardwire and mobile telemetry units.
• The contractor will also provide updates and upgrades for Spacelabs ICS software licenses.
• The VA estimates that replacing the current system would result in duplicative costs exceeding $9M.
