Description
The State of Georgia Department of Natural Resources is seeking a qualified outfitter to operate a five‑year concession at Smithgall Woods State Park. The contractor will provide canoe trips on the Chattahoochee River, shuttle transportation throughout the park, and manage all related visitor‑service facilities. Required equipment includes 45 kayaks, 10 canoes, 15 rafts, 150 paddles, and 150 life jackets, plus staff certified in Swift Water Rescue and CPR. The vendor must maintain waste‑dump facilities, provide porta‑johns, keep restrooms clean, carry comprehensive commercial general liability insurance, and remit a percentage of gross receipts to the DNR. The contract runs from award date through June 30, 2031, with four optional one‑year renewals at the State’s discretion.
