The New York Power Authority (NYPA) has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Design-Build contract to provide Statewide Guard Gate and Waste Weir Rehabilitation on the Erie Canal. The contract is scheduled to be a 10-year commitment with various mini-bids across the State going out for bid in that 10-year commitment. The scope of work is not yet defined, but electronic files of plans and proposals can be made available for download from Cold Spring Construction. • The contract term is up to 10 years. • The location is statewide in New York. • The total MWBE participation goal is 30%. • The service-disabled veteran-owned business contracting goal is 6%. • All subcontractors must register and maintain registration in accordance with the NYSDOL Bureau of Public Works Labor Law 220-I – Contractor Registry.
