Description

The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is seeking technology demonstration candidates for the International Special Operations Forces (ISOF) Range 2026 event. The event will be held on April 14-15, 2026, at the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), NV. USSOCOM is looking for innovative lethality technologies to exhibit at the event, including weapons, visual augmentation systems, demolitions/breaching, ammunition, shoulder-launched munitions, precision strike systems, and other relevant disruptive technologies. The attendees will use the event to conduct "hands-on" market research of technology to address lethality gaps and inform future requirements. Some key areas of interest include: • New or novel rifle and machine gun suppressor designs and materials • Kinetic counter-UAS weapons and technologies • Signature management/reduction technologies • Weight reduction concepts • Novel materials/solutions to extend weapon lifecycle parts and predictive maintenance solutions • Pistol modification and enhancement solutions for existing USG issued pistols • Novel weapon accessories which provide significant operational improvement to SOF operators from legacy weapon accessories • Low-light, reflective band sensor technologies • Emissive band sensor technologies • Single-sensor technologies for imaging in both reflective and emissive bands • Small-pixel MWIR sensor technologies with high dynamic range • Novel sensor and imaging technologies • Passive range measurement technologies • Novel display technologies to reduce size and weight of VAS devices • Direct-view and Clip-on Machine Gun Optics • Germanium-free infrared optic technologies for MWIR and LWIR imaging • Medium Range and Long-Range VAS for weapon-mounted applications to increase lethality at night • Laser markers used for target handoff and laser designators used for terminal guidance • Displays suitable for providing digital information to users wearing analog night vision goggles • Next generation night vision goggle concepts • Integration of digital solutions to enhance analog imaging, integrated inertial sensors • Small form factor, low-cost SWIR cameras for detection of common laser rangefinders and laser markers and designators • Handheld multi-sensor imaging and multi-domain sensing of the user’s environment with a focus on increasing lethality • Color night vision technologies • Low SWaP-C laser see-spot technologies • Laser detection/warning technologies • Anti-bloom image intensifier devices • Stand Off Breaching • 40mm Low Velocity Grenade that provides the ability to breach multiple standard door types • Remote placement of breaching charge • Alternate Case Material Cartridges • Signature on Target • 5.56 frangible projectiles • Ballistically and accuracy improved .50cal API precision ammunition • Shoulder Launched Munition systems • Lightweight Shoulder-Launched Guided Missiles • Platform agnostic payloads • One way attack vehicles and any other kinetic, unit organic, man-transportable weaponized unmanned system • Medical equipment, targetry, personal protective equipment, shooting analytic tools, etc.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate as it is a Request for Information (RFI) and not a solicitation for proposals or quotations. However, based on the scope of the event and the technologies being sought, it is likely that the budget will be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the selected respondents will be required to provide technology demonstrations and may need to cover their own costs for travel, equipment, and personnel. The actual budget will depend on the specific requirements of the event and the number of respondents selected to participate.
