Bonneville Old Navigation Lock (NL1) Swing Bridge

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is seeking sources for the replacement of the Bonneville Old Navigation Lock (NL1) Swing Bridge. The new fixed bridge will be a single-span steel girder bridge with a concrete deck, and it will be located over the existing navigation channel. The project requires the construction of approach roadways, the removal of lead and asbestos, and the mitigation of seismic hazards. The contractor must be able to work within environmental and seasonal restrictions and perform barge crane lifting in close proximity to a high voltage power line. • The project is expected to be carried out between October 2026 and October 2028. • The estimated construction cost is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. • The USACE is seeking responses from both large and small business members of industry. • The project requires the contractor to have experience with steel bridge fabrication and erection, highway and bridge construction, and lead and asbestos removal. • The contractor must be able to work in a phased construction environment to allow for continuous public vehicular movements.
