Description
This solicitation seeks qualified contractors to demolish and remove an existing Engineered Materials Arresting System (EMAS) on Runway 31 at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, and to construct a new blast pad along with associated airfield pavement, electrical work, and earthwork. The work includes full removal of the EMAS, preparation of the runway surface, installation of a blast pad to meet FAA standards, and necessary utility and paving activities. Successful bidders must provide a 5 % bid bond and comply with state licensing and equal‑opportunity requirements.
• Demolition and disposal of existing EMAS structures
• New pavement installation and blast pad construction meeting FAA specifications
• Electrical and earthwork services, including grading, drainage, and utilities
• Compliance with Louisiana State Licensing Law and Federal DBE/EO requirements
• Submission of sealed or electronic bids by June 30, 2026, with a 5 % bid bond.
