The Borough of Leonia is seeking professional services for various positions, including Borough Attorney, Labor Attorney, Tax Appeal Attorney, Borough Auditor, Borough Engineer, Bond Counsel, Borough Prosecutor, Public Defender, Risk Management Consultant, Borough Planner, Borough Architect, Planning Board Attorney, Planning Board Engineer, and Financial Advisor. The selected professionals will provide services for a period of 12 months. The Borough is looking for experienced professionals with expertise in their respective fields. The scope of work includes attending meetings, preparing reports, providing legal advice, and performing other duties as required. • The Borough Attorney will attend Mayor and Council meetings, prepare reports, and provide legal advice. • The Labor Attorney will handle labor and employment matters, including labor negotiations and employment counseling. • The Tax Appeal Attorney will defend and prosecute real property tax appeals. • The Borough Auditor will perform the annual audit of the Borough's financial records and provide other auditing services. • The Borough Engineer will provide engineering services, including preparing plans and designs for public works projects. • The Bond Counsel will provide legal advice on bond-related matters. • The Borough Prosecutor will prosecute cases before the Municipal Court. • The Public Defender will defend indigent defendants in the Municipal Court. • The Risk Management Consultant will assist the Borough with risk management and insurance services. • The Borough Planner will prepare reports and provide planning advice on land use, housing, and other matters. • The Borough Architect will provide architectural services, including managing and assisting with capital planning and budgeting. • The Planning Board Attorney will provide legal advice to the Planning Board. • The Planning Board Engineer will provide engineering services to the Planning Board. • The Financial Advisor will provide financial advice and assistance.
