Custom Entrance Gate - Depew Farm

The County of Rockland Parks Department is seeking a fabricator to supply all labor, materials, and equipment to fabricate and install a custom iron arched entrance gate at Depew Farm. The gate should be 16’ wide, 4’ high at end frame posts, and 6’ high at center frame posts. The project requires the bidder to demonstrate experience and provide references. The bidder must also provide insurance certificates and comply with the County's insurance requirements. • The gate must be made of cast iron where possible • The gate posts must be 4”x4”x5/16”x 8’ with 48” below ground in concrete with a 24” diameter • The gate frame posts must be 2”x2”x11 gauge • The channels must be 1-1/2”x1/2”x1/8” • The spindles must be 1/2” x 1/2” • The spindles must alternate full length/half length • The spindles must be topped with cast iron Spear Fleur De Lis • The gate frame posts must be topped with Cast Iron Spears • The circles in the upper portion must be horseshoes pointing upwards • The C scrolling in the lower portion must be ½”x¼” forged steel • The hinges must be barrel type with grease fittings • The gate must have a lockable lift latch • Each gate half must have a back-mounted drop bar to secure the gate while open • The letters spelling “DEPEW FARM” must be fabricated and installed below the horseshoes • The letters must be 6” Summa font • The entire gate must be primed and painted black
