Description

Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources is seeking a qualified supplier to provide extruded trout feed for its state hatcheries. The feed must be a commercial, off‑the‑shelf, closed‑formula product that meets nutritional specifications and can be delivered in bulk to multiple hatchery locations throughout the state. The contract is structured as an open‑agency, non‑exclusive agreement with an initial six‑month term and the possibility of up to nine additional six‑month renewals (maximum five years). Bidders must submit a completed cost worksheet, meet insurance and compliance requirements, and certify E‑Verify usage. • Supply various particle‑size grades of extruded trout feed (e.g., 1.5 mm, 1.6‑2.5 mm, 2.6‑3.5 mm, etc.) with total anticipated volume ≈ 84 tons. • Deliver to multiple Georgia hatchery sites; shipments must be palletized, arrive within 3 weeks of order, and be preceded by 72‑hour delivery notice. • Provide quality assurance: initial inspection within 48 hours of delivery, lab testing within three weeks, and replace any non‑conforming feed at no cost to the State. • Complete required forms (cost worksheet, tax compliance, insurance certificates, E‑Verify affidavits) and adhere to Georgia’s standard contract terms and prohibitions.

Budget estimate

$70,000 – $150,000

The solicitation does not disclose a contract ceiling. Based on the anticipated volume of roughly 84 tons of trout feed and typical market prices of $800‑$1,500 per ton for bulk commercial fish feed, the total contract value is likely between $70,000 and $130,000. Additional costs could arise from optional additives or expedited shipping, pushing the high end toward $150,000.
