Description
Brunswick County is re‑advertising an RFP for a contractor to process and transport white‑goods appliances, scrap metal, automotive, marine and golf‑cart batteries, and propane tanks from its landfill in Bolivia, NC. The contractor must provide roll‑off containers, remove and recycle refrigerants (CFCs/HCFCs), and haul processed material to a scrap‑metal dealer, while maintaining detailed monthly reporting and complying with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations. The contract is for an initial one‑year term with two optional one‑year renewals, and the award will be based on price, performance, and capability.
• Scope: Provide at least two 50‑cubic‑yard roll‑off containers, equipment, labor, and materials to process white goods and scrap metal on‑site or at an alternate facility.
• Required services: Removal/recovery/recycling of CFCs/HCFCs, oil, compressors; transport of processed material to a licensed scrap‑metal dealer.
• Reporting: Monthly activity reports due the 10th of the following month; final report after contract completion.
• Submission: Hard copy and/or electronic proposal due 10/22/2026 10:00 AM ET; proposals must include cover letter, company info, qualifications, insurance, and detailed cost breakdown.
• Contract term: 1‑year initial term, with two optional 1‑year renewals; pricing fixed for the term.
