Description
The City of Brandon, Mississippi, is seeking sealed proposals for the purchase of one new, current-model-year street sweeper equipped with features and performance capabilities generally equivalent to the specifications contained in this Request for Proposal (RFP). The street sweeper should have a conventional cab, minimum 33,000 GVWR, dual-steer configuration, diesel engine, minimum 200 HP, automatic transmission, and other requirements. The proposal should include descriptive literature, manufacturer certifications, and verification data. The City of Brandon reserves the right to waive any information or irregularities, to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City, or to reject any or all bids.
• The street sweeper should have a minimum 8.5 cu. yd. capacity, stainless-steel floor, and corrosion-resistant walls.
• The sweeper system should have a minimum 74-HP auxiliary diesel engine, hydraulic suction fan with adjustable speed, and high-efficiency vacuum system.
• The proposal should include the location and distance of the nearest authorized service, warranty, and parts facility for the proposed street sweeper.
• The bidder should provide on-site operator training and operator, parts, and service manuals.
• The unit must arrive fully assembled and operational.
