On-Call Construction and Improvements for Various County Facilities

The Charles County Government is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide on-call construction and improvement services for various county facilities. The contract will be for a base period of one year, with four optional one-year renewals. The contractor will be required to provide professional pre-construction/design and construction services or construction services only as specified by county departments on an as-needed basis. The contractor must have experience in areas such as parks planning, design and construction services, civil site design-build construction services, and mechanical/electrical and plumbing design-build services. • The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. • The contractor must provide a bid bond in the amount of $25,000. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance, including commercial general liability, commercial automobile, and workers' compensation. • The contractor must comply with the county's prevailing wage requirements. • The contractor must provide a performance bond and labor and material payment bond in the amount of 100% of the task order price for tasks over $100,000. The county reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. The county also reserves the right to negotiate contract terms, price, statement of work, or other conditions with the selected bidder.
