Description

This is an Annual Program Statement outlining U.S. Embassy funding priorities, strategic themes, and procedures for submitting requests for funding. The program aims to promote bilateral cooperation, highlight shared values, and increase understanding of U.S. policy and viewpoints. The priorities include projects that enhance resiliency, support democratic principles, build climate awareness, promote entrepreneurship, and foster proactive approaches to countering discrimination and terrorism. Examples of eligible programs include professional and academic lectures, workshops, and seminars; artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances, and exhibitions; and programs that enable American and German citizens to exchange ideas, knowledge, and experience. The program is open to registered not-for-profit organizations, individuals, non-profit or governmental educational institutions, and governmental institutions. Non-German organizations must partner with a German organization or present compelling evidence of the capacity to implement programs in Germany. Proposals will be considered on a rolling basis until March 20, 2022. Some key points to consider: * Proposals should clearly state the regional focus and Consulate it is directed to * Proposals should address the goals and objectives of the funding opportunity * All documents should be in English * All pages should be numbered * A summary page, proposal, and budget justification narrative are required * A unique entity identifier and System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registration are required * Cost-sharing is not required but partnering for co-sponsorship is welcomed * The program performance period should be up to 12 months * The total available funding is not specified, but the award amounts can be up to $15,000 * The program is subject to the availability of funding and the Department of State has no obligation to provide additional future funding.
