Description
The City of Wausau is seeking a Certified Public Accounting Firm to conduct annual financial and compliance audits for the calendar years 2025-2029. The audit services will include evaluating and reporting on financial statements, supplementary information, and federal and state awards. The selected firm will also provide non-audit services such as preparation of financial statements and tax returns. The City requires the firm to have experience in auditing local governments and housing authorities, and to have a quality control program in place.
• The audit services will be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and government auditing standards.
• The firm will be required to provide a detailed fee schedule and to absorb all costs incurred in the preparation and presentation of the proposal.
• The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality in the proposals received.
• The selected firm will be required to provide advice and counsel throughout the year concerning any changes that would affect the annual report.
• The firm will be required to have professional liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per claim.
