DRC Behavioral Management Training

The State of Nevada’s Aging and Disability Services Division is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive behavioral‑management safety training for staff at the Desert Regional Center. The contract will certify approximately 120 employees on verbal de‑escalation techniques and progressive physical‑management steps for working with individuals who exhibit self‑injurious or violent behaviors. A train‑the‑trainer component is preferred so that four internal trainers can continue delivering the curriculum over the four‑year contract term. The award will be a non‑exclusive independent‑contractor agreement with a start date of 1 March 2027 and a four‑year performance period. • Deliver a curriculum that starts with verbal de‑escalation and advances to layered physical‑management techniques. • Provide initial certification for ~120 staff and train‑the‑trainer instruction for 4 internal trainers (preferred). • Supply all training materials, maintain required insurance (per standard Nevada contract attachments), and bill on a negotiated‑rate, pay‑for‑services‑performed basis. • Contract term: 4 years, no guaranteed minimum volume; renewal possible only if appropriations continue.
