Description
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking a contractor to perform herbicide weed treatment in the Susie West area, located approximately 7 miles northeast of Carlin, Nevada. The treatment area consists of 4546 acres, with the primary target species being Scotch thistle and Russian knapweed. The contractor will be required to provide equipment, herbicide, and a work crew to handle and mix the chemical. The anticipated treatment window is June 2nd to July 18th, and the contractor must be available during that time period.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Applying the spray solution in properly maintained and calibrated equipment
• Controlling drift and maintaining buffers for non-aquatically formulated herbicides
• Using aquatic formulated herbicide and surfactant when spraying up to the water's edge
• Restoring public or private access roads damaged during the project to their original condition
• Providing a list of chemicals intended for use with the bid package
