Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is seeking industry feedback on a potential future contract to modify the Advanced Submarine Launcher Facility (ASLF) to support testing of advanced launcher systems. The modification includes installing a torpedo tube, hydraulic and electrical systems, and other components. The project has a tight timeline, with a 22-month window for completion. Respondents are asked to provide information on their company's capabilities, qualifications, and past performance in areas such as torpedo tube installation, acoustic performance expertise, and critical schedule adherence.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Installation of a SEAWOLF Mk 69 Torpedo Tube into the ASLF impulse tank
• Fabrication and installation of hydraulic, air, fluid, and electrical systems
• Installation of an arresting system and loading tray
• Blast and paint the entire ASLF inside and out
• Service life extension component replacement
• Final testing and acoustic qualification of the facility
