Notice Of Intent To Award Sole Source - Aviation Devices and Electronic Components L.L.C.

The General Services Administration is issuing a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Aviation Devices and Electronic Components L.L.C. for the P-8A antenna gasket. The gasket is a specialized, pre-cured, conductive antenna gasket manufactured by Av-DEC, designed specifically for use on the P-8A Poseidon military aircraft. The contract will be for supplies, and any interested party that believes it can meet the requirement may provide a response and evidence of their capability to fulfill the requirement. • The gasket is part of Av-DEC's HI-TAK product line and is a conductive polyurethane foam matrix with an integrated aluminum mesh frame. • The gasket has a material composition of pre-cured polyurethane sealant with a conductive mesh frame. • The frame is made of 5056 Aluminum alloy. • The gasket provides critical electrical bonding and meets MIL-B-5087B Class "R", MIL-STD-464, and MIL-STD-1310H requirements. • The gasket has a standard thickness of 0.055 inches (1.40 mm) and a compressed thickness of 0.034 inches (0.86 mm). • The gasket has a service temperature range of -85°F to 275°F (-65°C to 135°C) and an indefinite shelf life when stored properly.
