CMHHIP Mandt System Training

The Colorado Department of Human Services is seeking to continue its partnership with The Mandt System, Inc. for the provision of training services. The training program, known as Mandt, focuses on building healthy relationships, conflict management, and problem-solving skills, and is based on the philosophy of trauma-informed care and positive behavior intervention support. The department has been using Mandt since August 2023 and has seen beneficial outcomes, including a decrease in episodes of seclusion and restraint, as well as staff injuries. The department is seeking to continue this partnership due to the alignment of Mandt's philosophy with its own, and because the advanced trainings offered by Mandt are not available from other vendors. • The training program is based on the philosophy of trauma-informed care and positive behavior intervention support. • The department has seen beneficial outcomes from the use of Mandt, including a decrease in episodes of seclusion and restraint, as well as staff injuries. • The advanced trainings offered by Mandt are not available from other vendors. • The department is seeking to continue its partnership with The Mandt System, Inc. due to the alignment of Mandt's philosophy with its own.
