Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to purchase a non-contact ophthalmic biometry system with installation, training, and warranty. The system must be able to perform accurate biometry, keratometry, and intraocular calculations, including toric lenses, especially in difficult cataract cases. The system must also be able to obtain measurements via non-contact two-dimensional swept-source OCT (SS-OCT) and have automated data transfer capabilities. The contract will be awarded to the quoter whose quotation offers the best value to the government, considering technical capability, past performance, and price. • The system must be FDA-approved for use in ophthalmic biometry and comply with ISO standards for medical devices. • The system must have a compact and ergonomic design and include patient positioning features. • The system must be compatible with standard U.S. electrical outlets. • The system must be able to transfer data via ZEISS FORUM into the biometry unit and vice versa. • The system must be DICOM-compliant to interface with electronic medical record systems.
