Description
The Colquitt County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed bids for two new 5500 series crew cab 4x2 long wheelbase flatbed trucks for use by the Road and Bridge Department. The trucks must meet specific minimum specifications, including a turbo diesel engine, 6-speed auto transmission, and a minimum GCWR rating of 43,000 lbs. The bid packet is available on the Colquitt County website, and sealed bids will be accepted until September 3, 2026, at 10:10 AM ET.
• The trucks must be new and unused, with a current standard production model.
• The trucks must have a factory-installed AC/heater, power steering, and power front and rear disk brakes.
• The trucks must have a heavy-duty axle, limited slip, and a stabilizer bar.
• The trucks must have a flatbed with a steel diamond-plated floor, painted black with a protective coating and non-slip finish.
• The trucks must have a headache rack with a window view and expanded metal for protection.
The bidder's response must include the price for the trucks, less discounts due to county governments, and the total price delivered to Colquitt County. The bidder must also state the identity of the equipment on which the bid is submitted and provide information on the warranty.
