Special Magistrate Services (rebid)

The City of Panama City is seeking qualified Florida licensed attorneys to provide Special Magistrate Services. The selected respondent will be responsible for reviewing case files, conducting hearings, and observing pertinent laws. The respondent must be a member in good standing of The Florida Bar for a minimum of eight years, be engaged in the practice of law, and carry professional/malpractice insurance. The contract will be negotiated at a rate of compensation deemed fair, competitive, and reasonable by the City. • The respondent will be required to review case files prior to attending hearings • The respondent will be required to conduct hearings as provided in Chapter 162, Florida Statutes and Panama City Ordinance 2324 • The respondent will be required to observe all pertinent laws in the exercise of his or her duties • The respondent will be required to serve at the pleasure of the City Commission • The respondent will be required to provide services in accordance with City of Panama City Ordinance 2324 and Florida Statutes Chapter 162
