Electrical Supplies District Wide: Supply and Delivery

The Chicago Park District solicited bids for the supply and delivery of electrical supplies district-wide. The contract was awarded to four vendors: J.P. Simons & Co., C & L Electrical Supply Company, Evergreen Supply Co., and Midco Electric Supply, Inc. The contract has a term of two years with four one-year extension options. The vendors will provide all equipment, fuel, labor, materials, transportation, trucks, vehicles, and any/all other services necessary to supply and deliver electrical supplies throughout the Chicago Park District. The contract is a depends upon requirements (DUR) contract, and the actual quantities required during the life of the contract may vary. The contract includes eleven categories of electrical supplies: conduit, connectors, couplings, ground rods, clamps, ballasts, fuses, lamps, receptacles, wire, and miscellaneous items. • The contract has a term of two years with four one-year extension options. • The vendors will provide all equipment, fuel, labor, materials, transportation, trucks, vehicles, and any/all other services necessary to supply and deliver electrical supplies. • The contract includes eleven categories of electrical supplies. • The contract is a depends upon requirements (DUR) contract, and the actual quantities required during the life of the contract may vary. • The vendors were selected based on their prices and responsiveness to the bid specification.
