On-Call Engineering Services

The City of Cottonwood has entered into an On-Call Professional Services Agreement with Bowman Consulting Group LTD for on-call engineering services. The agreement is for a term of three years, with a total compensation not to exceed $2,000,000 in a single fiscal year. The Consultant will provide a range of engineering services, including programming and site development, landscape design, civil engineering, structural engineering, electrical engineering, and more. The City will issue Task Orders to the Consultant, each with a not-to-exceed price based on the price list and hourly rates set forth in Exhibit A. Some key points of the agreement include: • The Consultant shall provide adequate, experienced personnel to perform the services. • The Consultant shall maintain all necessary insurance, including Commercial General Liability, Vehicle Liability, and Professional Liability. • The City may terminate the agreement at any time without cause, and the Consultant shall be paid for all undisputed services performed up to the termination date. • The agreement is subject to the laws of the State of Arizona, and any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Yavapai County, Arizona. The services performed by the Consultant shall be in compliance with all applicable standards, guidelines, and policies, Arizona Statutes, Arizona Administrative Code, and standard engineering principles and practices. Some of the specific services that may be required under this agreement include: • General Engineering: planning, studying, analyzing, drafting, and designing various project types. • Geotechnical Engineering and Materials Design: geotechnical investigations, analysis, surveys, laboratory analysis, and technical reports. • Traffic Engineering: roadway and intersection safety performance development and evaluation, quality control reviews, performance measures, and more. • Surveying: topographical survey data, construction staking, control surveying, locating property boundaries, and more. • Electrical Engineering Design: preparation of estimates, project schedules, engineering plans, and project specifications for public works projects. The Consultant shall ensure that all services requiring field activities are conducted professionally and in a manner that utilizes accepted safety methods and practices. All required engineering reports shall be signed, sealed, and dated by an Arizona Registered Professional Engineer. The agreement also includes provisions for payment, invoicing, and auditing. The City shall pay the Consultant monthly, based on work performed and completed, and upon submission and approval of invoices. The Consultant shall maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed and expenses incurred. The agreement is a non-exclusive contract, and the City reserves the right to obtain like goods and services from another source when necessary. The Consultant warrants that it does not currently, and will not during the term of the agreement, use forced labor or any goods or services produced by forced labor. The agreement includes exhibits, such as a general scope of work and fee schedule, and a task order template.
