65 Ruggedized Tablets

This contract is for the purchase of 65 ruggedized tablets, with a minimum hardware configuration that includes an Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, and an 11.6" HD display. The tablets must also meet certain durability and ruggedness requirements, including MIL-STD 810G and IP65 certification. The contract was awarded to Insight Public Sector, Inc. for a total price of $217,505.60. The receipt of equipment must be completed by March 15, 2015. • The contract includes the purchase of vehicle docking stations, heavy-duty computer/keyboard mounts, and other accessories. • The tablets must be able to run Windows 7 Pro and have a minimum of 4100mAh battery life. • The contract includes a penalty clause for failure to meet the receipt of equipment deadline.
