ASPHALT MATERIALS

The contract is for the furnishing and delivery of asphalt materials to the County of Ocean. The contract was awarded to four vendors: The Walter R. Earle Corporation, Stavola Asphalt Company, Inc., A. E. Stone, Inc., and Brickwall Corporation. The contract term is for one year, from December 15, 2021, to December 14, 2022. The contract includes various types of asphalt materials, including hot mix asphalt, open graded friction course, and high performance patch. • The contract includes a price adjustment clause to account for changes in the cost of asphalt materials. • The vendors are required to deliver the materials to the County's designated locations. • The contract includes a provision for the County to extend the term of the contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15. • The vendors are required to submit vouchers for payment, which will be approved by the County's Purchasing Department. • The contract includes a provision for the County to reject any materials that do not meet the specifications.
