Community Liaison and Workforce Development Support Consultant

This contract calls for a Community Liaison and Workforce Development Support Consultant to assist AIDEA’s Communications Director in building relationships and supporting workforce‑development initiatives across Northwestern Alaska and the state at large. The consultant will identify stakeholders, recommend engagement strategies, support planning and implementation of workforce programs, and represent AIDEA at community events. The award is a firm‑fixed‑price hourly rate contract with a not‑to‑exceed budget of $50,000 for 2023, with potential extension into 2024. Travel is not reimbursed, and the contractor must provide its own workspace. • Core services include stakeholder identification, community‑relations recommendations, workforce‑development support, implementation assistance, and communication activities. • Deliverables consist of meeting logs, monthly recommendations, attendance at events, bi‑weekly status updates, and support for workforce initiatives. • Vendor must have 1‑2 years experience with small Alaska governments/utilities, hold a valid Alaska business license, and maintain required insurance.
