Description
This solicitation seeks un‑armed security guard and protective services for multiple City of Mobile facilities, including 24‑hour coverage at Public Works (MIT), night‑shift coverage at the same site, and event‑driven coverage at the Museum of Art. Bids are to be submitted as sealed envelopes with a unit price per guard‑hour; no bid bond is required. The contract will initially run for one year, with the possibility of two additional one‑year extensions, and requires the vendor to hold Alabama security licensing, city business licensing, E‑Verify registration, and specified insurance coverages.
• Provides continuous (24 hrs/day) security guard coverage at Public Works (MIT) – 1 guard.
• Night‑shift guard coverage (6 pm‑7 am) at Public Works (MIT) – 1 guard, plus holiday coverage as needed.
• Event‑based guard coverage at the Museum of Art – up to 60 hrs/week, with duties that may include table set‑up, public interaction, and lifting up to 40 lb.
• Vendor must submit unit price per man‑hour, meet Alabama security licensing, maintain specific liability insurance, and respond to a 24‑hour city‑staffed phone line within 30 minutes.
