Probe-Based Traffic Signal Performance Measure (PBTSPM)

$1MSingle Award
Contract source

Description

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is pursuing the implementation of probe-based traffic signal performance measures (PBTSPMs) for deployment in traffic signal networks throughout the state. The PBTSPM system will provide monitoring and control access from various locations, including the MDT's local area network and remote locations via the internet. The system will also allow multiple users to log on simultaneously and provide user privileges definable on a functional level. The system will produce measures that include arrival on green, turning movement, travel time, delay, split failure, and trajectory plots. The system will be compatible with intersections that have no communication infrastructure and will provide performance measures of all subscribed traffic signals within a rolling seven calendar day period.
