SERVICE AND REPAIR OF HEAVY DUTY DIESEL AND CNG ENGINES

This contract is for the service and repair of heavy duty diesel and CNG engines for the County of Orange. The contractor, Harbor Diesel and Equipment, Inc., will provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to repair and service the engines. The contract includes a scope of work, payment terms, and requirements for the contractor. The contract also includes provisions for insurance, indemnification, and termination. The key aspects of this contract include: • The contractor must be Cummins certified and provide factory-trained technicians for the repairs. • The contractor must obtain verbal approval from the shop supervisor prior to any repair services. • The contractor must provide annual usage reports to the county upon request. • The contractor is responsible for security against loss or damage to vehicles in their possession. • The contractor must ensure that all work is completed by a factory-trained and certified Cummins technician. • The contractor must provide a quote or estimate prior to commencement of any service or repair. The contract has a total aggregate amount not to exceed $150,000.00 and includes provisions for payment terms, invoicing instructions, and taxpayer ID number. • The contractor will be paid based on a fixed price schedule, with labor rates of $145.00 per hour for regular hours and $217.50 per hour for overtime. • The contractor must submit invoices in arrears, with payment terms of net 30 days after receipt of an acceptable invoice. • The contractor must include their taxpayer ID number on all invoices submitted to the county for payment.
