Budget estimate

$2,000,000 – $4,000,000

Based on a five‑year time‑and‑materials contract for six industrial diesel generators, the vendor will likely bill for labor (multiple technicians on quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual visits plus emergency calls), parts (OEM components, filters, batteries, lubricants), travel, and equipment usage (load‑bank rigs). Assuming an average of 2 technicians per quarterly visit (4 visits × 2 techs × 6 gens ≈ 48 tech‑days per year) plus additional semi‑annual/annual visits and an estimated 12 emergency calls per year, total labor hours could range from 2,500 – 4,000 hours annually. At an average blended rate of $120 – 150 /hr, labor alone would be $300 k – $600 k per year. Adding parts, consumables, travel, and overhead (≈ 30 % of labor) brings annual spend to roughly $400 k – $800 k. Over the five‑year term, total contract value is therefore estimated between **$2 million and $4 million**. The low‑end estimate reflects minimal emergency calls and low parts usage; the high‑end reflects frequent emergency repairs, higher‑priced OEM parts, and overtime rates.
