Continuing Transportation Engineering Services

This contract is for continuing transportation engineering services to be provided by HDR Engineering, Inc. to the City of Orlando, Florida. The services include professional transportation engineering consultation and advice, as well as design and construction phase services. The contract has a term of two years, with the option to renew for an additional term. The contract value is estimated to be $1,000,000. Key aspects of the contract include: * The consultant will provide services in all phases of a project, including study and report, preliminary design, final design, bidding or negotiating, and construction phases. * The consultant will provide professional transportation engineering consultation and advice, and will furnish customary civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, environmental, transportation, stormwater, irrigation, landscaping, and electrical engineering services. * The consultant will perform any and all project services in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner, and in accordance with the generally accepted customary standards of its profession for similar services provided on similar projects of like size and nature. * The city shall have sole discretion to select the projects, if any, that may be given to the consultant under the terms of this contract. * The consultant shall indemnify and hold harmless the city, its employees, and officers from liabilities, damages, losses, and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, to the extent caused by the negligence, recklessness, or intentionally wrongful conduct of the consultant and other persons employed or utilized by the consultant in the performance of the contract.
