The contract is for the provision of services to expand access to quality early learning and care through a comprehensive effort with a focus on addressing the needs of the whole child, including health, behavioral health, child development, and family strengthening. The vendor, Orange County Association for the Education of Young Children, will provide peer business coaches to assist other partners with child care provider case management, and will also provide group trainings and one-on-one sessions to guide local providers in their business actions. The contract has a maximum payment obligation of $190,000 and will run from August 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025. • The contract includes funding for staff salaries and benefits, direct expenses, and indirect expenses. • The vendor will provide services including peer guide program continuation, anti-bias and anti-racism training, and professional development. • The contract includes a staffing table, direct project expenses table, and indirect project expenses table. • The vendor will provide quarterly invoices and the commission will withhold 10% of each invoice as retention until the successful completion of the contract.
