P-15000 - Rapid Response Construction Services

This contract is for construction work that must be done on an urgent or immediate basis. The construction projects will vary in size and scope and may involve multiple trades. Generally, they will involve both building or park construction and renovation, and some projects may involve both. The contract term initiates in the current year through 12/31, with additional extension options available for 1/1 through 12/31 of the following year. There are a possible four additional one-year extension options available and exercisable at the Chicago Park District's option. Key aspects of the contract include the requirement for the contractor to maintain certain insurance coverage, to abide by and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and to keep in force at all times during the performance of any work all insurance required by the RFQ. Some of the key terms and conditions of the contract include the provision of a Master Independent Contractor Agreement for Rapid Response Construction Services, the requirement for the contractor to be appropriately licensed under Illinois law, and the obligation to indemnify and hold harmless the Park District and its Commissioners, officers, officials, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against all claims, damages, losses, and expenses.
