Description
The City of Palm Bay is seeking proposals from vendors interested in paying the City for scrap metal located at various locations throughout the City. The proposal is based on the proposed payments to the City, on a price per pound basis, for ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal. The price paid per pound will be a percentage of the current index price for the metals listed in the American Metal Market magazine.
• The City does not guarantee a minimum or maximum amount of scrap metal that will be available for removal from its facilities.
• The City will determine the amount of payment with reference to the index price in effect for each scrap metal as published on the first business day of the month in which the metal is removed.
• The Evaluation Selection Committee will meet to discuss proposers for this project.
• The meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at 1:30 P.M. in the Purchasing Services office located in the City Hall – 2nd Floor.
