The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is seeking a small‑business contractor to provide on‑call, per‑pickup scrap‑metal recycling services for its main campus in Cleveland and a network of off‑site facilities. The work is performed under an IDIQ contract with five one‑year ordering periods, each with a “not‑to‑exceed” number of pickups. The contractor must respond within 48 hours of a request, provide all equipment (lift‑gates, trucks, etc.), and remit 100 % of recycling proceeds to the VA. Performance is tracked via monthly and annual reports, and invoices are submitted through Tungsten Network.
• Provide collection, transport, and recycling of metal, wood, plastic, ceramics, and unserviceable equipment (no hazardous or regulated waste).
• Pricing is per pickup; the vendor must quote a unit price for each distance band (on‑site, 1‑25 mi, 25‑50 mi, 50+ mi) for all five periods.
• Service must be available within 48 hours of request, Monday‑Friday 08:00‑16:30, with weekend pickups only by prior coordination.
