Description
The City of Mobile issued a sealed‑bid solicitation (Bid #5211) to replace the engine on its E‑One Cyclone fire‑pumper (asset #52553). The scope requires removal of the existing diesel engine and installation of a new factory‑remanufactured Cummins SL9CM2250 engine, together with a full complement of new or remanufactured ancillary components (turbocharger, ECM, EGR valve, oil cooler, sensors, belts, hoses, etc.). Additional work includes drivetrain inspection, cooling‑system flush, transmission service, A/C service, DPF replacement, and post‑installation break‑in and road‑testing. The contract was awarded to DIESEL SERVICES for a total amount of $37,127.27. The bid was sealed, required a 5 % bid bond, and mandated compliance with E‑Verify and, if out‑of‑state, a Certificate of Authority.
