Parking License and Easement

The City of Clermont has entered into a parking license and easement agreement with First United Methodist Church of Clermont, Inc. The agreement grants the City of Clermont the right to use a portion of the church's property for public parking. The city will pay the church $1,490 per month for the use of the property. The agreement also outlines the responsibilities of both parties, including the city's obligation to maintain the property and the church's right to terminate the agreement with 180 days' notice. Some of the key points of the agreement include: • The city will use the property for public parking Monday through Friday after 5 p.m. and on weekends after 1 p.m. • The church may prohibit the use of the property for parking during certain events with 10 days' notice. • The city will reimburse the church for certain improvements made to the property. • The agreement will remain in effect until September 30, 2022, unless terminated earlier. • The city and the church will maintain commercial general liability insurance and release each other from liability for certain damages.
