Description
This contract is for the purchase of two new and unused 58,000 GVWR 10 cu yard dump trucks. The trucks must meet specific specifications, including a 350 HP minimum turbocharged diesel engine, an Allison standard transmission with PTO provision, and a Duraclass HTP316 10-12 cubic yard capacity dump body. The contract was awarded to Gibbs Truck Center for a total of $354,022.81. The scope of work includes the delivery of the trucks, with an estimated delivery time of 354-531 days after award. Key features of the trucks include a set back axle truck with conventional cab, a 10 cu yard dump body, and a tow package with a minimum 1/2" thick hitch plate. The contract also includes a one-year warranty for the dump body and a two-year warranty for the engine. The trucks must be compliant with the latest EPA/CARB emission certification and must have a secondary hydraulic system capable of running a sander/salt spreader.
