Description
Sedgwick County’s Register of Deeds is modernizing its historic record collection by digitizing roughly 2,600–2,800 bound and loose‑page books, many of which contain photostats, laminated pages, and handwritten entries. The county will receive color JPEGs, grayscale JPEGs, and final black‑and‑white TIFF files (300 dpi, Group IV), complete OCR, metadata, and a secure temporary web portal for review before import into the county’s AVID recording system. The work must be completed within one year of contract signing, with a pilot set for quality sign‑off, 100 % image inspection, and strict chain‑of‑custody controls. Three vendors were awarded the contract, sharing the total value of about $3.2 M.
