P-22018 Architecture and Engineering Services

This contract is a Master Independent Contractor Agreement for Architecture and Engineering Services between the Chicago Park District and Juli Ordower Landscape Architecture LLC. The contract is for a period of five years with the possibility of an additional one-year extension. The contractor will provide architecture and/or engineering services to the Park District for various projects. The contract includes terms and conditions such as indemnification, insurance, and compliance with laws and regulations. The scope of work includes providing experienced personnel to carry out the services in a timely fashion. Some key points of this contract include: • The contract is governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the State of Illinois. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules promulgated by any Federal, State, County, Municipal, and other governmental units or regulatory bodies. • The contractor must maintain insurance required by the RFQ. • The contractor must indemnify and hold harmless the Park District and its Commissioners, officers, officials, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against all claims, damages, losses, and expenses. • The contract may be terminated by the Park District for cause or convenience.
