Mowing of Closed Areas at Landfill

This contract is for the mowing of closed areas at the Orange County landfill. The contract is a term contract for a period of 3 years, with an estimated contract award of $126,850.00 for the initial term. The contract may be renewed as provided in the Request for Quotes. The contractor is required to perform the services in a professional and skillful manner, and the County reserves the right to inspect all facilities of the contractor to ensure compliance with the contract terms. The contract also includes provisions for payment terms, discounts, and indemnification. Some key points include: • The contractor must provide a quote that includes all costs associated with the preparation of the quote. • The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotes and to make the award to the quoter who, in the opinion of the County, will be in the best interest of and/or the most advantageous to the County. • The contractor shall adopt and maintain a policy of nondiscrimination as defined by Section 17-288, Orange County Code, throughout the term of this Agreement. • The contractor agrees that, if any obligations of this contract are to be performed by subcontractor(s), the provisions of subparagraphs 1 and 2 of this Section shall be incorporated into and become a part of the subcontract. • The contractor shall use the E-Verify system to verify the employment eligibility of all new employees hired by the contractor during the contract term.
